We have finished our first chapter on understanding what empowerment means / the different types of empowerment with a quiz scheduled for Oct. 25
Chapter 2 focuses on economical empowerment. We will be looking at First Nations / Inuit economies and the changes that ensued with the arrival of the European settlers.

Heritage Fair 2017
Our January focus will be Heritage Fair. Students are asked to create a project that reflects an aspect of Canadian Heritage.
The theme for this year's fair is 150 Years of Canada in honor of our 150th birthday!
Students have 5 hours of class time set aside to complete the written portion of the project.
The display and/or model portion of the project will be completed at home.
Project due date - in class presentations begin the week of February 13th, 2017.
